The drinkability scale has been devised to allow readers to rapidly assess the whether beverages should be purchased or passed on.  The scale is a linear scale ranging from 1 to 10.  A rating of 1 denotes a beverage that is ‘nasty’, while a rating of 10 indicates the liquor may in fact be ‘the nectar of the gods’.

Summaries of drinkability scores for various categories of beverage are shown in tables 1-5 below.
